Job Purpose: This position is responsible for the operation and basic maintenance of machinery and equipment necessary in the loading and unloading of ethanol, wet & dry distillers, corn oil, chemicals and raw materials. Including completion of all necessary reports, logs, and / or paperwork associated with each. The following is a list of essential duties and responsibilities for this position along with certain supportive duties; this list is not all-inclusive. Other duties and responsibilities may be added as needed and this job description may be modified as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist trucks in the proper location for loading/unloading within the facility. • Timely loading/unloading of all ethanol, distiller's grains, bulk chemicals, raw materials and other products by railcar and truck. • Proper completion of all records related to the products loaded or unloaded for shipment / storage within the facility. • Maintain rolling stock to include loaders, track mobile, skid steer, by checking fluid levels, greasing, lubricating and re-fueling. • Inspect loaders, track mobile, etc. for defects, cracks, breaks, tires, etc. according to the designated schedule and document the inspection results. • Report any issues with equipment that cannot be readily resolved to the appropriate personnel so that work orders may be issued. • Take action to ensure any unsafe equipment is taken out of service and properly documented as such. • Maintain cleanliness and keep the facility tour ready at all times • Communicate regularly with all other employees / departments and assists all other employees and departments as required for efficient facility operation. Qualifications • High School diploma or equivalent • Previous experience in operation of loaders, skid steers, track mobile or other heavy equipment is preferred • Strong commitment to safety and environmental issues. Willingness to adhere to all safety and health rules, plant rules, procedures and guidelines. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Must be able to work without direct supervision to accomplish goals and meet schedules • Proven solid work ethic and ability to work well with others as well as independently • Must possess strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills • Must possess a valid driver's license Physical Requirements Able to lift, pull, carry, and pick-up average to heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds; Must be able to work in cold to hot temperatures; work around dust, fumes, and/or moderate to loud noises; works inside and/or outside; Able to climb stairs and ladders; walk on paved and unpaved surfaces; sit at a desk and operate a computer and keyboard; visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear, speak, and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone; manual dexterity to operate a telephone; lift horizontally and vertically, bend, stoop, stand, and reach; Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
