I grew up in the small town of Soldier, Kansas where we lived close to my grandparents who were dairy farmers. My childhood was cluttered with activities such as music, church, horses, sports and spending time on my grandparent’s farm. One of my favorite childhood memories was spending time in the gym playing basketball with my dad who was my basketball coach through high school. Four years ago I moved to Aurora to spend more time with my brother and his family. It’s been a blessing being able to watch my nephews and niece grow up.
I have been a grain merchandiser with Aurora Cooperative for a little over 3 years now. My trade area primarily encompasses the towns north of Interstate 80 from Highway 281 to Highway 81 up to Highway 30. Some of the specific areas I serve are Aurora, Marquette, Central City, Chapman, Clarks, Polk, Hordville, Benedict, Bradshaw and York.
I believe the most important part of my career is ensuring that the decisions our owners make are the best possible solutions for them. I take immense pride in providing our owners with as much accessible information as necessary to aid them in making a confident decision founded in their best interest.
In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, working out and traveling. I have a toy poodle named Fitz who eats up my attention when he can. I am a huge fan of any Kansas State or Kansas City sports. I attended Kansas State University and studied biology. Before moving to Aurora, I worked at a family practice clinic and an urgent care clinic as a medical assistant.
At the Aurora Cooperative, we truly do believe that our farmer-owners are best served when we are as efficient with their equity as possible. One of the most important parts of serving our owners in that regard is also believing in them.
Every single day, I do my best to marry that belief in the abilities of our owners with a strong work ethic and a tireless desire to find solutions for them.
